When I drew this one I think that I'd just watched Thor Ragnarok and had the Valkyrie on my mind. Or it could have been Wonder Woman? I'm not sure but she ended up being a cool character to work on. In this case, I ran into a problem though because the pose didn't work very well with the size and shape of paper being used. I ended up having to crop her arm and lower body in order to work with that. It reminds me of sculptures where the bust ends abruptly though, and hasn't ever given me any trouble. With that said, I'm not stoked about how I did the hair. The drawing has a bird-like inspiration but her hair just looks ruffled. That's not how hair should be shaded, I can tell you that!
